BDD QA Automation Consultant

Must Have:

• Overall 7+ years of experience in Testing.
• Develop and maintain BDD automated test scripts using tools like Cucumber, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Design, implement, and execute API testing strategies using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
• Lead the adoption and implementation of BDD practices in collaboration with developers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain BDD automated test scripts using tools like Cucumber, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive and robust regression testing suite to ensure the stability of new features and updates.
• Conduct exploratory and manual testing to uncover potential issues and validate system behavior.
• Design, implement, and execute API testing strategies using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and collaborate
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, collaborating with the development team to prioritize and resolve them.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure the application meets scalability and responsiveness requirements.
• Proactively contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on BDD, regression testing, and API testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience writing Selenium automation scripts in Java for web applications
• 7+ years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required, advanced degree.
• Years of proven experience as a QA Engineer with expertise in BDD, regression testing, API testing, and Sauce Labs integration.
• Proficient in BDD tools and frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
• Solid experience with automated testing tools for React applications (e.g., Selenium).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with Sauce Labs or similar cloud-based testing platforms.
• Strong understanding of React components and architecture.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining regression testing suites.
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
