Job Summary:

The Bakery Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day opera ons of the bakery, ensuring the product on of high-quality baked goods, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for baking. Key Responsibilities:

1. Opera onal Management: o Oversee the daily produc on of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency. o Develop and implement standard opera ng procedures (SOPs) for baking processes and store opera ons. o Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring the bakery is ready for business and properly secured at the end of the day.

2. Staff Management:

o Recruit, train, and supervise bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and front-of house personnel. o Create work schedules, assign du es, and monitor staff performance.

o Foster a posi ve and produc ve work environment, addressing any issues or conflicts that arise.

3. Inventory and Supply Management:

o Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, packaging, and supplies, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.

o Conduct regular inventory checks and manage waste to minimize costs.

o Maintain rela onships with suppliers and nego ate contracts to ensure the best pricing and quality.

4. Quality Control: o Ensure all products meet company standards for taste, appearance, and freshness. o Implement quality control checks throughout the baking process.

o Address any customer complaints or feedback regarding product quality.

5. Health and Safety Compliance: o Ensure the bakery complies with all health and safety regula ons, including food safety standards.

o Conduct regular inspec ons and audits to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

o Provide training to staff on proper hygiene and safety prac ces.

Qualifica ons: •

Proven experience as a bakery manager or in a similar role within the food industry for at least 3 years

  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, mixes, and food safety standards.
