Role and Responsibilities A. Key Responsibilities: Provide Database Administration production support for SQL Server Database business-critical systems. Production support of SQL Servers with AlwaysON in high availability configuration. New servers build as per BaseLine (Gold Image) and CIS benchmark. Serve as a DBA Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert for Database projects, implementations, and tasks automation. Participate in application database design, new server build, upgrade, and migration to AWS hosting. Accountable for maintaining database backups and recoveries, and providing support for high availability systems in AlwaysON configuration. Work with developers and business users on improving database design, indexes utilization, and queries performance tuning. Develop and maintain proper documentation, including configuration specifics, and procedures for ongoing operation/maintenance. Accountable for security patching and cumulative upgrades of business-critical applications. Responsible for SQL Server Database stability, integrity, security compliance, and efficiency of the systems that support core functions of the business. Interact with senior engineers, management, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify areas of improvement. Maintain SSIS packages and perform deployments per business requirements. Accountable for ensuring delivery of all assigned projects and tasks, project implementation. Participate in the development and validation of Enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans. Maintain compliance with Security, Incident Management, and Change Management procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT industry as it relates to the technologies and processes in the Database domain, relevant organizational knowledge, and project management practices. Implement TDE, TLS 1.2, and maintain secure configuration and operation of SQL Server systems according to industry best practices. Participate in projects design discussions to ensure SQL Server Database designs are aligned with the Secure By Design philosophy, the architecture, and the current roadmap. SQL Servers version upgrades to the latest version. SSIS packages development and implementation. New servers build as per BaseLine (Gold Image) and CIS benchmark. Capacity planning. Disaster Recovery planning and execution. DB Backup/recovery implementation. Documentation. Participate in DBA on-call 24X7 support in the event of system outage or failure. B. Install and troubleshoot Desktop/Laptop Operating Systems and resolve hardware issues. Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and deactivation. Offer application support to end users on various software applications, particularly within the M365 suite. Manage data backups for all users. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. ITIL qualification is preferable but not essential. IT certifications (e.g., MCP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are desirable. Experience with ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or other ITSM tools is desirable. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Windows Server concepts, and Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange). Proven experience as a help desk technician or in End User Computing Domain as a customer support role (2 to 4 years of experience required). Tech-savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control. Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively. Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
