Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom Backstage plugins to enhance platform functionality. Configure and deploy Backstage on cloud platforms in secure and scalable environments. Build and maintain a Service Catalog within Backstage for managing and discovering services. Integrate Backstage with CI/CD pipelines such as GitlabCI, Octopus Deploy, and ArgoCD. Connect monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic with Backstage. Integrate Backstage with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes clusters. Set up Backstage as a central documentation hub by integrating with Confluence, GitLab, and other sources. Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience in extending Backstage core features and developing plugins. Proficiency in TypeScript and React.js with component-based architecture knowledge. Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitlabCI, or ArgoCD. Working knowledge of Kubernetes and its integration with Backstage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
