You are looking for a System Architect - EDI to join Eaton's corporate IT team in Pune, India. As a System Architect, you will be responsible for defining a shared architectural vision for a simple product that supports current and future business needs. Collaborating with Agile teams, you will explore solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and work towards a cohesive solution. Additionally, you will liaise with Enterprise and Solution Architects, as well as Functional Analysts, to deliver solutions aligned with broader architectural guidelines. Your primary responsibilities will include demonstrating proficiency in EDI technical design, leading the simplification of the existing EDI Landscape, participating in planning and high-level design of EDI product solutions, and enabling a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines. You will also play a key role in negotiating with the business to prioritize nonfunctional work, evaluating customer/supplier EDI requirements, supporting daily EDI operations, and fostering relationships with technical groups. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8 to 12 years of Sterling B2B Integrator experience. Essential skills include extensive experience in software engineering practices related to EDI, familiarity with Linux operating systems, programming languages, and development platforms, as well as a solid understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles. Knowledge of B2B Integrator, cloud hosting concepts, communication protocols, and problem-solving abilities are also essential. Desirable skills include EDI Integration knowledge with Oracle/SAP, familiarity with B2B platforms like Dell Boomi, effective communication skills, collaboration abilities, and experience working with diverse global teams. Responsibilities: System Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable and reliable system architectures using IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator. Ensure the integration of these systems with existing infrastructure and applications. Evaluate new features, enhancements, and technologies related to IBM Sterling solutions for potential implementation. Team Leadership and Project Management: Lead a team of systems engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Define project goals, deliverables, and timelines, and oversee their successful completion. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. IBM Sterling Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator systems. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security profiles. Onboard and configure trading partners, ensuring secure and reliable communication channels. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for optimal efficiency. System Integration and Deployment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as developers, network engineers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration with other systems and components. Plan and execute system deployments, including hardware and software installations, configurations, and integrations. Conduct testing and validation to ensure system functionality, performance, and reliability. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, including encryption, authentication, and authorization, to ensure data security during transmission and storage. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA or GDPR, as applicable. Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain system documentation, including installation procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization. Stay updated with the latest advancements in IBM Sterling solutions and share knowledge with the team. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a systems engineer or a similar technical role with hands-on experience in IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator administration. Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts, protocols (such as AS2, SFTP, FTPS), and data formats (EDI, XML, etc.). Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator systems. Knowledge of system design principles, infrastructure components, and system integration. Familiarity with network protocols, security concepts, and best practices. Leadership and project management skills, with experience leading a team of engineers. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
