Role & responsibilities : 1) Testing of WTG Software : Solution development and coordination for system and component suppliers 2) Development of test cases (Python framework: Solution development and coordination for system and component suppliers Preferred candidate profile Expert knowledge in Python framework, sound knowledge of PLC program execution Knowledge of WTG behaviour and controls ideally also covering WTG components such motors, gearboxes, bearings, generators, converters Testing of WTG Software based on existing test cases requireing a sound domain knowledge of electrical/industrial automation controls. Development of test plans with a sound background of PLC program execution. Planning, execution and documentation of Software tests as per WTG development plans. Development of new test cases with a sound knowledge of object oriented programming (preferably Python) in cooperation with component experts according to their functional requirement specifications.

Position Overview Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies and software products. We are seeking a highly skilled Test Verification Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and verification, with a focus on automation and compliance with DO-178C standards. This role requires proficiency in programming, particularly in Python and Linux Shell scripting, as well as a solid understanding of various communication protocols. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India . Position Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Linux Shell scripting to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into test cases and automated tests. Design and develop a test automation framework that aligns with the DO-178C V&V life cycle, ensuring compliance with safety-critical software standards. Automate manual test cases, ensuring thorough validation of software functionality and performance. Conduct testing of various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet, to ensure robust system integration and performance. Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools. Basic Qualification A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION Proven experience in software testing and verification, with a focus on automation. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Linux Shell scripting. In-depth knowledge of the DO-178C V&V life cycle and its application in safety-critical software development. Experience in developing test automation frameworks and automating manual test cases. Familiarity with various communication protocols, including WIFI6, Cellular, ARINC, Discretes, and Ethernet testing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
