Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement test strategies for warehouse automation platforms, including robotic systems, inventory tracking, and real-time data sync.
• Perform end-to-end functional testing for warehouse workflows such as inbound, outbound, picking, sorting, inventory updates, etc.
• Develop and execute API load and performance tests to validate throughput, latency, and error handling under stress.
• Validate data consistency through database testing and backend service verification.
• Monitor server and system resources (CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network) during high-load scenarios.
• Create and maintain automation test suites for:
• UI Testing (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright)
• API Testing (Postman/RestAssured/Karate)
• DB Testing (custom SQL validators or automation scripts)
• Collaborate with warehouse solution architects, developers, and DevOps to ensure scalable and quality-tested deployments.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and actively participate in code reviews and sprint planning.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of QA experience with at least 2+ years in warehouse automation or logistics-based systems.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations such as order processing, goods movement, scanning systems, and robotic control interfaces.
• Proven expertise in:
• Load & Performance Testing (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
• Database Testing (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• API Testing (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI)
• Automation Testing for UI/API/DB
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and test strategies for distributed systems.
• Experience with server resource monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms
