Automation Engineer

Job Description

Key Position Responsibilities: Review customer requirements and recommend suitable PLC/HMI solutions. Develop and validate I/O lists, control logic (Ladder, ST, FBD), and HMI interfaces. Collaborate with electrical teams to ensure system integration and compliance with standards. Conduct in-house testing, simulate PLC programs, and ensure functional accuracy. Perform site visits for system commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting. Provide remote/on-site support during installation and post-deployment phases. Prepare technical documentation, including manuals, wiring diagrams, and application notes. Deliver training sessions for customers and internal teams on PLC/HMI systems. Coordinate with IT for monthly project archiving and data security. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field. 3 to 7 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI development, preferably in manufacturing. Skills: Expertise in PLCs, HMI configuration (WinCC, FactoryTalk), and industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP). Strong understanding of electrical systems, panel design, and automation safety standards.
