Job Title: Civil Draftsman – 2D/3D Drawing Specialist

Location: Ernakulam (Office-based or Site-based)
Work Time: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
Reports To: Project Engineer / Site Supervis

Job Summary:

The Civil Draftsman** will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural and structural drawings in both 2D and 3D for renovation, construction, interior modification, and site layout works. Must have a clear understanding of measurements, civil materials, site-leveling, and practical execution needs.

Key Responsibilities1. Drawing and Drafting

• Prepare 2D floor plans, site layouts, plumbing layouts, and electrical schematics
• Create 3D visualizations, elevations, and rendered views using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
• Modify designs based on project needs, client inputs, or site feasibility

2. Site Coordination

• Conduct site measurements and verifications before drawing
• Update drawings based on actual field conditions
• Prepare working drawings and hand them over to the site team

3. Documentation & BOQ Support

• Create civil drawings with dimensional accuracy for approvals and tendering
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with accurate quantities for estimation
• Print/convert to PDF and submit documentation to clients or project heads

4. Client Interaction

• Present 3D views or concepts to clients for approvals
• Make real-time revisions during client meetings if needed

5. Project Tracking

• Maintain drawing change logs and version control
• Ensure all changes are backed up and updated on shared folders/cloud drives

Eligibility & Skills Required

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Draftsmanship
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, SketchUp/3DS Max, Revit or similar
• Ability to read and interpret civil/architectural blueprints
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials & site execution
