AUTOCAD Draftsman

You will be responsible for developing 2D and 3D drafting as per the tasks assigned for the respective project. Your role will involve creating design drawings for primary, secondary, and tertiary structures. Additionally, you will be required to develop Bill of Material and enter it into the ERP system. Support for the purchase process by releasing drawings and specifications for BOP/job-work will also be part of your responsibilities. You will need to assist the Production team by explaining and clarifying queries that may arise. Keeping track of document changes and releases, as well as inspecting materials in line with drawings at the factory premise and vendor end, will be essential. Coordination with other departments for inputs and feedback, reporting task status versus plan on a daily basis for project deliveries, and verifying input information to maintain project development alignment are crucial aspects of the role. Previous experience as an AutoCAD drafter and conducting meetings with architects, designers, and engineers to discuss design ideas are also expected. Key Skills required for this position include proficiency in CAD software, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations, familiarity with materials, finishes, and market availability, proficiency in engineering calculations, coordination with production and product designers, understanding of document change mechanisms, and experience in quality inspection. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Draughting in the lighting manufacturing industry. A graduate or post-graduate degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical background from a reputed organization, is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and knowledge of 3D designing software like Rhino, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge is necessary. The working hours for this position are Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The salary range offered is between 25,000 to 30,000 per month, based on work experience and knowledge.
