Associate Technical Architect

• We are looking for a highly skilled Software Architect to join our engineering team and drive the design and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high performance systems

• As a Software Architect, you will lead technical decision making, evaluate and implement tools and APIs for proof of concepts (POCs), and define best practices across teams
• You will also mentor engineers while shaping the technical roadmap to align with business objectives

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and cost efficient cloud native architectures on platforms like Azure
• Design, implement, and advocate for microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Apply design patterns and modern architectural principles to ensure robust, maintainable, and testable solutions
• Proof of Concept & Tool Evaluation Research and evaluate tools, libraries, and frameworks; prototype integrations to assess feasibility
• Demonstrate hands on ability to run scripts, configure environments, and integrate APIs for POCs
• Collaboration & Leadership Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align on technical solutions
• Provide thought leadership and guidance to engineering teams on complex technical challenges
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure technical alignment across projects
• Cloud & DevOps Expertise Define cloud strategies, leveraging Azure services like App Services, Functions, Kubernetes (AKS), and DevOps pipelines
• Promote adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices
• Code Quality & Development Standards Advocate for clean code practices, automated testing, and robust version control strategies
• Participate in hands on coding and debugging, if needed, to unblock engineering teams
• Provide technical leadership to ensure optimal performance and scalability of the applications

Key Qualifications Technical Skills

• Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and their ecosystems (eg, PaaS, IaaS, serverless computing, etc)
• Microservices: Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and scaling microservices based architectures
• Programming: Hands on experience with one or more languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js
• API Integration: Strong background in integrating and testing APIs; familiarity with tools like Postman or Swagger
• Design Patterns: Deep knowledge of architectural and design patterns (eg, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga Patterns)
• DevOps: Experience with CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC (eg, Terraform or Bicep)
• Scripting: Competency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python

Experience

• 15+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in an architecture role
• Experience leading technical design discussions and driving technical decisions
• Strong expertise in creating POCs to assess the feasibility of tools, services, and approaches
• Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences
• Proven ability to mentor and inspire teams toward technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Event Driven Architectures and messaging systems like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or RabbitMQ
• Hands on experience with multi cloud strategies and hybrid cloud solutions
