Job Description

The Associate Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) will focus on acquiring and honing essential skills necessary for excelling in the role. Working closely with experienced engineers, they will receive mentorship and guidance throughout their journey. Responsibilities include various aspects of site reliability and cloud engineering such as incident response, application deployment, configuration, system monitoring, and security protocols. You will gain foundational understanding of cloud design, hosting, and delivery in AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for products and services, and explore the service offerings from cloud providers. Building proficiency in tech stack tooling, you will automate provisioning and manage infrastructure components efficiently using IaC. Applying best practices for version control and collaborative development using GIT, you will maintain an organized code management process. Additionally, you will learn to use Jira for issue tracking and workflow streamlining. Acquiring scripting skills for automation purposes will enhance efficiency by automating routine tasks, data collection, and deployments. You will participate in the code review process, receiving feedback that improves coding and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with security measures and implementation will be essential for safeguarding systems. Contribution to setting up, configuring, and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems will be crucial for understanding and improving key performance indicators. Collaboration with other engineers for incident response will involve data gathering, issue tracking, and problem-solving skills application. Engaging in post-incident reviews and participation in collaborative efforts with team members across various roles will be integral to professional growth. Developing basic troubleshooting skills, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and actively participating in Agile and Scrum practices are key aspects of the role. Additionally, contributing to documentation creation, participating in on-call support, and effectively responding to incidents under high-pressure scenarios will enhance the ability to maintain system stability.
