Role & responsibilities Job Role and Responsibilities Coordinate with the Design team to ensure welding feasibility, proper symbol representation, welding adequacy, and support for FM/FMEA activities. Review and authorize Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and determine appropriate welding methods based on materials and environmental conditions. Supervise and authorize trials and experiments to develop innovative welding methods and equipment. Inspect weld quality, analyze defects, and provide recommendations for improvement. Offer technical support and training to welders and supervisors to enhance skills and performance. Manage welding projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints. Stay informed about industry advancements and integrate modern welding technologies. Verify and authorize welder qualifications as per relevant code requirements. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable national or international standards in welding and related activities. Address non-conforming outputs and take necessary actions in consultation with the HOD, Quality In-charge, Design, or Cross-Functional Team (CFT). Support vendor development initiatives to achieve high-quality welding outputs. Preferred candidate profile Required skill: Minimum 15 years welding experience GMAW,SMAW,SAW,FCAW,GTAW knowledge NDT and DT knowledge (RT,UT,PT,MPT) 7 QC tools CSWIP Perks and benefits
