Assistant Manager - Technical

Responsibilities Mallcom India Limited is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager - Technical responsible for identifying, defining, and sourcingessential materials for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and workwear. This role involves vendor development, product innovation, technicalsupport, and market research, ensuring competitive sourcing solutions while maintaining compliance with global standards. Identifying , defining & sourcing products, fabrics, yarns, trims, accessories and other articles for PPEs. Vendor development of the existing prodcut line until the sampling development stage developing alternate for existing supplier for workwear/garment fabrics in India and developing new vendors around the globe. Product development - Working in close collaboration with operations to develop new products from sampling stage and/or develop in exixtingproduct and sourcing the required article if need be for such development. Particpation in technical sessions, conferences and exhibtions. Technical merchandising / support - closely working with the sales team to get through with a product for product development and sourcingmostly for private label (like TTI). Product betterment project for self from one of the major product categoreis. Key Requirements: Graduate in - Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology or related fields. 5 - 7 years experience in fabric sourcing, product development, and vendor management. Strong expertise in procurement, technical merchandising, and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of fabric properties, and textile industry standards. Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
