Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Production & Technical:

Oversee and manage sheet metal processes including welding, rolling, punching, and washing.
Hands-on involvement with welding machines, tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment maintenance.
Drive process improvements ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.

Data Analysis & Operational Excellence:

Excel-based data management, production tracking, and KPI monitoring using
SMART principles
.
Apply logical and analytical decision-making for production improvements and problem-solving.
Implement
4M Management
(Man, Machine, Material, Method) for process optimization.

Quality & Safety:

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, 5S practices, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) guidelines.
Drive initiatives to control WIP inventory, reduce wastage, and ensure line balancing.

Manpower & Cost Management:

Train, develop, and manage shop floor teams for skill enhancement and productivity.
Optimize costs related to manpower, power, consumables, PPE, and inventory.
Promote a high-performance, safety-conscious team culture.

Team Leadership:

Act as a reliable team player and proactive leader.
Foster collaboration within the team to meet production targets and quality benchmarks.

Preferred candidate profile:

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal operations, preferably in the Automobile Industry.
Practical exposure to: Spot Welding & Resistance Welding, Washing Machines (for components/assemblies) and Plate Rolling & Punching Operations.
