We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Senior Research Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in developing and implementing ASR models specifically for automotive voice assistants. The person should be well-versed in the latest advancements in speech recognition technology, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and next-generation ASR frameworks. Your Impact: - Leverage your expertise to effectively train, fine-tune, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) to achieve optimal accuracy, naturalness, efficiency, and scalability. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate LLM-based features and functionalities. - Design and implement software components and modules to integrate LLM capabilities into Cerence's speech recognition and natural language understanding systems. - Conduct thorough testing and validation of LLM-based features to ensure high performance, reliability, and robustness in real-world scenarios. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, trends, and research in AI and natural language processing (NLP) technologies to enhance the overall performance of our systems continually. What you bring: - Demonstrated expertise in creating Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions using Deep Learning techniques, with a focus on integrating Large Language Models. - An advanced degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or a related field. - Highly proficient in Python and Deep Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or PyTorch. - Experience with training and fine-tuning large language models using large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within our fast-paced and innovative environment.
