Area Sales Manager

Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Food Industry Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, increasing market share, and building strong relationships within a designated territory. The ASM oversees the distribution of food products, executes sales strategies, and ensures the achievement of sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute sales plans to meet regional sales targets and expand market presence. Identify and acquire new distributors, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Coordinate with distributors, retailers, and wholesalers to ensure product availability and optimal merchandising. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and monitor competitor activity. Train and motivate sales teams and channel partners to achieve sales goals. Monitor sales performance and prepare reports for senior management. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations. Participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and industry events. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food industry. Strong understanding of food products, industry trends, and distribution channels. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic sales initiatives. Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
