The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking self-driven, highly motivated individuals to lead application engineering portfolios as technical leads for our internal Enterprise Technology service delivery portfolio(s). As a key member of the solution delivery team:
- You will lead the application engineering of two portfolios within Enterprise Technology.
- You will be leading a team of engineers and owning the technical delivery of solutions focusing on business demands.
- Design, build, implement, and manage in-house developed and SaaS solutions.
- Your ability to learn and build scalable technology solutions will provide an opportunity to grow professionally.
- Role reports to the portfolio solution delivery manager.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery
: Lead the end-to-end technical delivery and support of 50 applications within the portfolio, including vendor SaaS solutions, in-house builds, custom-built interfaces, and low-code tools.Design and Build
: Maintain and design robust, high-performance enterprise software or SaaS solutions.Adherence to Standards
: Ensure adherence to architectural standards, usability design standards, and product-specific guidelines.Solution Development
: Translate design and solution architecture deliverables into detailed design and build deliverables.Oversee Engineering
: Oversee engineering activities across multiple projects by coordinating with developers, business teams, and project managers.Project Execution
: Work with project managers to ensure projects are executed on time, on budget, and with quality.Communication
: Ensure effective communication within the team and other IT groups; proactively raise and address issues.Production Support
: Work closely with the production support team to ensure business as usual (BAU) of deployed applications.Risk Management
: Minimize technical exposure and risks on projects.Resource Planning
: Create and maintain an application engineering resource plan, and provide input for technical resource sourcing and cost estimates.Alternative Solutions
: Research and propose the most efficient and cost-effective technical solutions.Collaboration
: Collaborate with vendor applications and teams to integrate them into EY systems.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
- A
Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science or related discipline. 15+ years
of hands-on experience in architecture, design, build, and integration of scalable software solutions, with at least 5 years as a technical lead.Ability to evaluate application architectures
, strengths, and weaknesses.- Demonstrated experience in working with
application vendors/external resource providers
. - Fluency in
English

Technical Skills:
- Experience in designing and developing web applications using
