Application Engineer - FEA

You will be located in Bangalore and hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. With over 2 years of experience, you will be responsible for assisting customers in solving complex engineering problems using ANSYS software products. As an Application Engineer - FEA, you will collaborate closely with both customers and internal teams, offering technical support and consultancy. Your ability to research and provide solutions to a wide range of problems will be crucial. Your primary tasks will include diagnosing customer issues, researching solutions, and enhancing customer productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS Mechanical products. You will take ownership of the customer support experience, demonstrating active listening skills and a cooperative attitude. Additionally, you will conduct training classes on the usage of ANSYS Mechanical simulation products and maintain documentation of support requests. To qualify for this role, you must possess a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering software environment. Proficiency in relevant ANSYS software or other commercial software is essential, as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement numerical models for practical engineering solutions in Structural Mechanics and composites. You should be able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate proficiently in English. Experience in composite material modeling and Explicit dynamics, as well as familiarity with ANSYS, will be advantageous. A passion for personal technical excellence, high performance, and customer service is necessary for this role. The ability to travel up to 50% of the time may be required.,
