Educational Qualification :15 years full time educationRoleImplementation Engineer - FinOpsRole Overview:We are seeking a Cloud Optimization Implementation Engineer to support the hands-on execution of cost-saving initiatives across public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role is focused on implementing approved optimization actions, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising performance or availability.Key Responsibilities:Execute Cloud Cost Optimization Tasks:Apply tactical changes based on cost optimization recommendations, including but not limited to:oRightsizing underutilized EC2/VM instances or database servicesoAuto-scheduling non-production resources (e.g., turning off dev/test workloads during off-hours)oStorage optimization by moving data to lower-cost tiers (e.g., S3 Standard S3 Glacier)oDeleting or decommissioning unused resources such as unattached volumes, idle load balancers, old snapshots, and orphaned IPsoCleaning up zombie assets (resources with no active usage or ownership)oInstance family or OS-level migrations for better price-performance alignmentImplementation & Change Management:Raise PRs or CRs (Pull Requests / Change Requests) to apply changes through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) or native cloud consoles.Work with application, DevOps, or infrastructure teams to validate and safely deploy changes.Align implementations with enterprise standards including tagging policies, naming conventions, and change control protocols.Coordinate around production windows, code freeze periods, and multi-team dependencies.Tracking & Documentation:Maintain logs of implemented actions and savings delivered.Document steps taken, impacted resources, stakeholder approvals, and blockers encountered.Contribute to reusable playbooks and implementation SOPs for future use.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with FinOps analysts, cloud operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on timelines and expected outcomes.Communicate proactively about constraints or risks (e.g., unknown parallel PRs, client-specific limitations).Support any technical validation needed for pre-implementation reviews.
