Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Appian Architect with over 10 years of overall IT experience and at least 5+ years of focused expertise in Appian BPM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and implementation of complex Appian-based solutions across enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of Appian BPM solutions for enterprise clients. Collaborate with business stakeholders, process analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Define Appian architecture standards, reusable components, and integration strategies. Oversee the delivery of scalable and performance-optimized applications using Appian low-code platform. Guide and mentor Appian developers on design best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting. Integrate Appian with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, RDBMS, third-party services). Participate in client presentations, solution workshops, and architecture governance forums. Ensure adherence to SDLC, DevOps, and Appian deployment methodologies. Required Skills Experience: 10+ years of total IT experience with at least 5 years in Appian BPM. Strong experience in designing and building Appian applications including records, interfaces, process models, expressions, rules, and web APIs. Proficiency in Appian SAIL, Appian plugins, data types (CDTs), and interface objects. In-depth understanding of Appian architecture, Appian Cloud, and on-premise deployment models. Strong experience in integrating Appian with external systems via REST, SOAP, and JDBC. Experience with Agile delivery, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and Appian DevOps tools (e.g., Deployment Manager, Jenkins, Git). Solid knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Appian Certified Lead Developer / Architect (Preferred). Experience with Appian Sites, RPA, and Process Mining capabilities. Knowledge of security models, SAML, OAuth, and Appian authentication strategies. Exposure to other BPM/low-code platforms (Pega, OutSystems, etc.).
