As a member of the systems engineering team at Siemens Energy, you will be part of a globally diverse group that communicates openly and regularly. With team members located across North America and India, we ensure efficient collaboration across different time zones to keep projects moving forward seamlessly. In this role, you will manage the mechanical and systems technical scope for the supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects. This includes gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and extended plant scope such as coolers and scrubbers. You will work closely with the Project Engineer to address technical concerns from both internal and external clients, ensuring the highest engineering standards are maintained throughout the design and manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will also involve fixing and understanding compressor and process system designs from a mechanical perspective and integrating them with electrical and control systems. You will be involved in the development of contract P&IDs and Instrumentation wiring diagrams in COMOS, as well as supporting production in equipment assembly through work instructions and technical calculations. Additionally, you will manage the Mechanical Engineering schedule to ensure timely release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation. Collaborating with customers in a professional manner and representing Siemens as a technical domain expert will also be a key part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum B.E. in an engineering-related field, with a preference for a Mechanical Engineering degree. A Master's degree is a plus. You should have at least 5 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering industry, particularly with Rotating Equipment. The ability to read and convert client specifications into manufacturing/purchase specifications, along with a willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, is essential. Experience with Engineering/PLM software such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira is required. Knowledge of API614, API692, API617, and SAP is a plus. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, are also necessary for this role. Join our Transformation of Industry division at Siemens Energy, where we are dedicated to decarbonizing the industrial sector and driving the transition to sustainable processes.
