As a Web API Developer at Vagaro Technologies Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for leveraging your 3-6 years of experience to contribute to the development of our all-in-one business management platform and online marketplace for the salon, spa, and fitness industries. Your role will involve working with a talented team of professionals to design and implement robust RESTful APIs that cater to the needs of both businesses and end-users. Your key responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and the ability to build efficient RESTful APIs. - Collaborating with front-end developers to create cohesive and user-friendly APIs that align with business requirements. - Implementing secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT to ensure the protection of sensitive data. - Designing API structures with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability. - Integrating APIs with databases like SQL Server or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and CosmosDB. - Writing clean and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices. - Performing code reviews, unit testing, and assisting in integration testing of APIs. - Creating detailed API documentation using tools like Swagger, Readme, Postman, or API Blueprint. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and execute API specifications. - Ensuring that APIs are well-documented and easy for third-party developers to integrate with. - Implementing robust security practices throughout the API development lifecycle, including proper use of HTTPS, authentication, and authorization. - Debugging and troubleshooting issues in both production and non-production environments. - Providing post-deployment support and monitoring for issue resolution, fixes, and performance optimization. This role requires familiarity with web API frameworks, middleware, object-oriented programming principles, SOLID design patterns, and best practices. Additionally, you should have experience working with microservices architecture, API versioning, error handling, and logging. Your ability to work with various databases, conduct unit testing, and ensure API security and compliance will be crucial to your success in this position.
