Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with deep expertise in industrial communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, EtherNet/ProfNet) and system integration across multi-vendor environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and commissioning automation solutions, including integration with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA, and third-party systems such as energy meters, robotics, and MES/ERP platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and commission industrial automation solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. Configure and implement industrial protocols such as MODBUS (RTU/TCP), EtherNet/IP, OPC UA/DA, Profibus/Profinet. Perform complete commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, ensuring reliable system functionality. Integrate and ensure reliable communication with third-party devices and systems (e.g., energy meters, HVAC, fire panels, barcode/RFID, robotics). Create and maintain communication mappings, interface documentation, and control logic specifications. Collaborate with electrical and IT teams to ensure proper network architecture and system performance. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and upgrades on control systems and industrial networks. Ensure all solutions comply with industry safety standards and cybersecurity practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation projects. Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or Mitsubishi). Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk View, iFIX. Strong knowledge of industrial protocols: MODBUS (RTU/TCP), EtherNet/IP, OPC. Experience in field communication integration with VFDs, sensors, and I/O modules.
