As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at Volvo Group Purchasing, you will be responsible for performing quality assurance activities with external supply network partners to ensure that purchased components meet design specifications. You will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of aluminum casting supply network partners, overseeing the complete quality of parts. Your tasks will include early involvement in the supply network partner selection process, ensuring Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is conducted according to project timing, and mitigating associated risks. In this role, you will verify and lead all APQP deliverables, approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and tooling, and secure capacity and ramp-up plans while implementing Firewall/Pre-launch controls to facilitate a smooth Start of Production (SOP) launch. Additionally, you will be responsible for addressing quality concerns raised by Volvo plants, ensuring quick containment, and implementing corrective and permanent/preventive actions. Moreover, as part of the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) organization, you will lead transformation activities related to sustainability and digitalization within the supply partner base. You will also be tasked with evaluating and continuously improving the performance of supply network partners to meet premium automotive quality standards and achieve world-class performance. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering or a related field. You are expected to have 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in supplier quality, preferably within the automotive industry. Strong technical knowledge and manufacturing expertise in aluminum casting and machined components are essential, along with a continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving skills. Your ability to work independently, deliver results, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders is crucial for success in this role. If you are passionate about driving quality excellence, building strong relationships with supply network partners, and contributing to the sustainable future of transport solutions, then this opportunity to join the SNQ India team at Volvo Group could be the perfect fit for you. Join us in shaping a better tomorrow through innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to quality and excellence.,
