Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Article Assistant located in Kolkata. The Article Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various audit and assurance tasks, preparing and filing tax returns, supporting compliance efforts, conducting research and analysis, and contributing to corporate law and valuation projects. The role involves extensive interaction with team members and clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services. Qualifications Audit & Assurance: Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Tax Audit, Stock Audit, Compliance Audit Taxation: ITR Filing, TDS Return Filing, Tax Planning, GST Registration and Returns, GST Planning Corporate Law & Compliance: Companies & LLPs Incorporation, SEBI Compliance, RBI & NBFC Matters Valuation & Analysis: Mergers & Acquisitions, Startup Valuation, Forensic Accounting Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience in a professional services firm is a plus

The professional will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, performing audits, handling tax planning, and providing strategic business advice. The role involves working closely with clients to understand and address their financial needs, and staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends. Qualifications Experience in Audit & Assurance, including statutory, internal, tax, and GST audits Proficiency in Direct Taxation tasks such as ITR filling, tax planning, assessments, and appeals Experience in In-Direct Taxation activities including GST registration, returns, and assessments Knowledge of Corporate Law matters including company incorporation, compliance, and SEBI regulations Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team CA/CMA qualification is required Experience with valuation, RBI, NBFC matters, and forensic audits is a plus
