Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain IBM AIX infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot IBM AIX operating systems . Manage system security configurations , access control, and auditing. Perform system upgrades , patching, and migrations. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business requirements . Develop and maintain operational documentation and SOPs. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for production support. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python). Ensure high availability, system performance, and disaster recovery readiness. Required Technical and Professional Experience: Minimum 5+ years of system administration experience, with a focus on IBM AIX . Proficiency in IBM AIX tools such as SMIT and DSM . Deep understanding of AIX OS internals , performance tuning, and system-level debugging. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment . Certifications (Mandatory) IBM Certified System Administrator AIX (or equivalent AIX administration certification) Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Hands-on experience with IBM Power Systems and PowerVM virtualization . Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python) for automation. Familiarity with other UNIX-based systems such as Linux or Solaris . Understanding of the ITIL framework and its best practices. Educational Qualification Bachelors degree in any discipline (Engineering preferred)
