Job Overview We are seeking a Junior SDS2 Checker for a Full-Time position at our Coimbatore location. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. As a Junior Checker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards in our projects. Qualifications and Skills Proficient in steel detailing, especially using SDS2 software (Mandatory skill). Strong skills in checking detailed drawings and ensuring they meet project specifications (Mandatory skill). Expertise in 3D modeling techniques for structural designs is essential to visualize and create accurate models. Competence in preparing and interpreting shop drawings to ensure fabrication accuracy and consistency. Familiarity with AISC standards to ensure compliance with industry guidelines and best practices. Solid understanding of steel structures, their components, and connection details for effective analysis. Experience as a detailer to effectively communicate and resolve design detail discrepancies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve potential issues in detailed designs. Roles and Responsibilities Review and check detailed drawings and models to ensure they meet project specifications and standards. Collaborate with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues in the detailed designs. Ensure compliance with AISC and other relevant international standards in all project deliverables. Identify potential design issues and work with detailers and modelers to resolve them efficiently. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met with high-quality output. Maintain accurate records of all checks and revisions made to project drawings and models. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and quality of work. Sound knowledge in PEB checking activities, understanding client drawings, GA drawing creation and editing Should be capable of working with Tekla and AutoCAD software & checking the model Checking AB, GA & assembly drawings against contract drawings and ensure to release them without errors for fabrication and erection Should ensure the compliance of design, erection and welding feasibility Good knowledge in OSHA and AISC standards Desired Candidate Profile 3+ years of relevant experience in PEB Checking with sound knowledge of Tekla, AutoCAD and AISC Standards Working experience with US projects will be preferred Keyskills: 1.Proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD. 2.Strong understanding of PEB checking activities. 3.Ability to create and modify GA drawings. 4.Excellent attention to detail in checking AB, GA & assembly drawings. 5.Knowledge of design, erection, and welding feasibility considerations. 6.Familiarity with OSHA and AISC standards.
