Roles & Responsibilities:Perform detailed static stress analysis of wing structures to support repair solutions for in-service damage.Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance (F&DT) analysis in line with EASA requirements to assess the continued airworthiness of repairs.Develop and validate analytical models (hand calculations, FEM) for primary and secondary structural components.Provide technical substantiation reports and stress dossiers to support repair design and regulatory approval.Collaborate with design engineers to ensure repair feasibility, manufacturability, and certification compliance.Use OEM tools, methods, and allowable (preferably Airbus) for substantiation.Participate in peer reviews, design/stress reviews, and sign-off assigned activities. Professional & Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of static strength, fatigue life estimation, and fracture mechanics.Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as ISAMI, Mathcad, PATRAN.Proficient in engineering documentation systems relevant to Repair.(Tech Request, ICARUS, Airbus World)Familiarity with EASA regulations, structural repair manuals (SRMs), and OEM guidelines (preferably Airbus)Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.Good communication and stakeholder management skills.Prior experience in MRO or airline engineering support roles in Repairs will be desirable.Previous experience with Airbus wing structure analysis tools and standards will be desirable. JOB BRIEF This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks and assisting in the Product engineering- Product design, Weldment Structures frame, Sheet metal modelling and Jigs & Fixtures. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will also work in cooperation with the sales and marketing managers, as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Solidworks to generate 3D modelling and detailing of any Mechanical products Weldments, Sheet metals. Responsible Jig and Fixture design development. Responsible for product design and development with applicable codes & standards. Responsible for preparing GA drawing and Fabrication drawing with BOM. Attention to detail and commitment to quality a must in reviewing, checking and clash checking other designer’s work. Prepare material take-offs for cost estimates and material procurement during concept and basis of design phases. Work with domestic and international teams to develop and support products. Update engineering manager with regular reporting of progress and status. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aeronautical engineering with 7+ years of experience. Extensive experience with Solidworks is MUST. Hands on experience in 3D modelling of Weldments, Sheet metals is must. Knowledgeable in Autodesk Inventor. Exposure to international codes and standards. Strong attention to detail Works independently and with minimal supervision Experience from Design engineering firms, preferred. Role Aircraft Design -Stress Analysis Location Yelahanka , Bangalore Mode : Work from Office only Educational Qualification B.Tech / M.Tech – Aeronautical , Mechanical (Preferrable from Top IIT's) Exp Level : 6+ Years in Aerospace & Defence product design / development company Roles and Responsibilities The Stress Engineer is responsible for carrying out stress analysis for components built out of metallic and composite materials. Also, to prepare necessary stress reports/ documents for certification. Conversant with Aerospace terminologies. Good working knowledge and experience in aerospace materials in both metallic and composites, and, material allowable Working knowledge of utilizing MMPDS, MIL-HDBK-5 handbooks and other relevant composite handbooks. Having good working experience on linear/ non-linear static analysis, Modal/Dynamic analysis, Fatigue analysis on industry standard specific tools as indicated. Having good working knowledge of establishing stress through Classical Approach through Hand Calculations. Hands-on on stress tools like Optistruct/Nastran Patran, LS- dyna, ANSYS, NASGRO/AFGRO or any industry specific tools Must have working knowledge of creating stress reports/ documents for certification.
