The Commodity Manager plays a crucial role in developing and managing relationships with internal business owners and suppliers to oversee the procurement of direct and indirect materials and services. By leading business owners in defining strategies and goals for assigned materials and services, the Commodity Manager ensures alignment with business objectives such as quality assurance, technology integration, risk management, and cost optimization. Key Competencies: - Exposure to corporate or manufacturing environments and assembly processes. - Proficiency in contract language, negotiation, analysis, time management, and organization. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement and advisory role. - Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors. - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Ariba, or other ERP/P2P solutions. - Subject matter expertise in procurement categories and project management skills. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering. - 8-10 years of relevant experience in procurement or related fields. - Willingness to travel up to 25%.
