Your primary focus will be on leveraging your experience in building personal aerospace projects like fixed-wing aircraft and FPVs to contribute to our projects. Your responsibilities will include developing prototypes using materials like balsa, Depron sheets, and XPS foam, followed by rigorous testing to validate design concepts and enhance performance. Additionally, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of drone avionics to support the embedded engineering team. Utilizing advanced aerodynamic modeling techniques and tools for simulating and optimizing aircraft performance will be a crucial aspect of your role. Furthermore, you will have the chance to pilot fixed-wing aircraft and drones for testing and demonstration purposes. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have entry-level to 3 years of experience and possess proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA and SolidWorks, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools, XFLR-5, and other relevant design and simulation software. Preferred skills for this role include expertise in aerodynamic modeling and simulation, extensive experience in building aircraft using various aeromodelling materials, rapid prototyping abilities, demonstrated flying experience with fixed-wing aircraft and drones, as well as hands-on experience in building and testing aerospace projects.
