Role Overview: We are looking for a Technical Lead with deep expertise in C++, Adaptive AUTOSAR, and system programming to join our growing embedded software team at BMW TechWorks India . This role will be instrumental in architecting, guiding, and delivering platform-level software solutions, with a focus on Linux and QNX operating systems , Bazel/Yocto-based build systems , and adaptive platforms used in next-generation BMW vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical development and integration of embedded platform software based on Linux/QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR standards. Provide strong architectural guidance and hands-on technical leadership to the software development team. Develop and maintain the Yocto-based Linux baselayer , ensuring robust performance and scalability for automotive systems. Utilize C++ and system programming to develop and debug critical components of the embedded software stack. Drive and ensure efficient usage of Bazel as a scalable build system across complex codebases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, test engineers, and product owners across BMW global locations . Debug system-level issues involving filesystems, memory management, IPC, and performance using Linux tools and commands. Guide team members on best practices in code structure, quality, and maintainability. Use Jira , Confluence , and Codebeamer to track progress, document solutions, and manage project workflows efficiently. Support system bring-up, integration, and validation on both virtual platforms and real hardware. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline. 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, with strong programming skills in C++ . In-depth knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR architecture and middleware components. Proficient in system debugging techniques for Linux/QNX-based platforms . Experience in building and maintaining embedded Linux distributions using Yocto and/or Bazel . Strong command-line proficiency and system-level understanding of Linux , including filesystem and memory management. Experience leading technical teams and providing architectural or structural guidance. Solution-oriented mindset with a proven ability to resolve complex, cross-functional technical issues. Familiar with GIT , Github , and Codebeamer for version control and ALM. Strong experience using Jira and Confluence in an Agile/SAFe environment. Nice to Have: Experience in the automotive domain, particularly in software platforms for IVI, ADAS , or autonomous driving . Exposure to virtual platforms, containerization, and CI/CD integration. Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards like ISO 26262 .

Adaptive Autosar Bootloader C++ Hands-on experience with ISO14229 (UDS Protocol) Experience on Flash Bootloader and Software Update topics C++ and Python Programming skills Hands-on experience in Application development in Service Oriented Architectures Hands-on experience in QNX and LINUX Operating systems Hands-on Experience with software development tools like CAN Analyzer, Canoe, Debugger. Ability to solve technical issues independently. Preferred Skills (Added Advantage): Exposure to ASPICE Process. Good analytical and communication skills. Job Responsibilities: The candidate will be involved in tasks related to Integration Development of FBL Features and performing testing activity. For the Integration Development of FBL software, the roles and responsibilities will include continuous collaborations with counterparts in Germany to understand requirements, interpret and develop FBL Features. Also, need to be responsible to create test specifications and document the results.

Qualification - B.Tech/B.E 1. Deep Expertise in programming embedded C++. 2. Experience with Adaptive Autosar 3. Ability to Review Code fulfilling automotive SW quality standards e.g. MISRA 4. Ability to analyze, interpret and maintain requirements, concepts, and specifications 5. Experience in taking ownership of legacy code and maintaining it 6. Experience in SW testing, e.g. xcomponent tests, robustness, etc. 7. Fundamental knowledge of software architectures including multithreading 8. Experience in SW Debugging 9. Experience with Board net technologies such as Ethernet, SomeIP, CAN will be advantageous. 10. Knowledge of basic control system principles and controller design techniques 11. Effective communication and collaboration skills, including technical decisions documentation 12. Experience in the ADAS domain preferred. 13. Experience with GIT/CI. 14. Ability to work independently and take corresponding decisions.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Software Architect works on mapping software with tier1 hardware. Feature break down to Epics with detail description to support the software team. Lead function software concepts definition together with area experts for Adaptive AUTOSAR based Automated Driving software platform. Backlog preparation for all the features and support with technical clarifications Support software team members with technical clarification, code review, alternative options Support break down software concepts into implementation stories Contribute to software product development , performance optimization and KPI measurements. Have a hands on approach in implementing improvements on current solutions. Review and approve technical solutions. Mentor, coach and improve the technical capability of development teams Assist the software lead in technical brainstorming sessions with the tier 1 team Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Informatics or equivalent. Minimum of 12+ years of relevant work experience. Deep knowledge of (C++ (14/17) and Python. Good understanding of Automotive Domain and details on ECU communication Software development for UNIX platforms (e.g. Linux, QNX). SW-Quality Analysis Tooling (e.g. SonarQube, Klocwork, Clang-Tidy, Valgrind, etc.) ASPICE, ISO26262 standard knowledge. Adaptive AUTOSAR configuration and application development. Hands-on experience with software and software platforms integration. Experience with SW tools such as Git, Jira, Google Test, Bazel, Artifactory, CI. Experience with UML design. Nice to have: Previous SW development experience for ADAS domain. Service oriented communication (e.g SOME/IP). Good knowledge and usage experience of Design patterns. Coding Standards (e.g. MISRA for C++
