The Role We’re looking for a smart, proactive Full Stack WordPress Web Developer to help us grow and optimize two of our websites, Actian.com and Zeenea.com. This person will work closely with various members of the marketing to troubleshoot and improve site performance — all while ensuring SEO best practices and accessibility standards. This role blends strong technical chops with a marketer’s mindset to drive performance across two global brand platforms. A successful candidate will be curious, skilled, creative, highly analytical, and able to work collaboratively to drive results as part of a large growing and dynamic cross-functional team. Responsibilities Manage WordPress on a day-to-day basis optimizing the code and building new site experiences for various stakeholders throughout the organization Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins Build responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly, SEO-optimized web pages Translate Figma/mockups into pixel-perfect, functional pages Optimize site speed and performance Implement tracking, analytics, and tag manager setups Manage cookie consent policy issues, and resolve, as they arise Manage content migrations and WordPress CMS enhancements Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on site improvements Troubleshoot issues quickly across front- and back-end Work on JIRA requests, prioritize them, then act. Communicate project timelines clearly and escalate issues as they arise and impact deadlines Partner with our development agency and take on overflow work as needed Advocate realistic project timelines and serve as a check-and-balance to agency estimates Requirements 5+ years of WordPress back-end experience Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript (React a plus) Experience with ACF, CPTs, and custom theme development Familiarity with MySQL, REST APIs, Git workflows Experience with performance optimization tools (e.g., WP Rocket, Cloudflare) Familiarity with Web Hosting Solutions like WPEngine Understanding of SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility Comfortable working in staging/live environments and managing deployments Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work quickly, coordinate multiple work streams and prioritize under deadlines while maintaining accuracy Initiative, a sense of urgency, excellent communication, and a “can do” attitude Enthusiasm for challenges and strong work ethic Self-directed with excellent organizational skills Experience with multilingual (WPML) or multisite setups Exposure to headless WordPress or JAMstack architectures Marketing mindset (understanding of CRO, SEO, CTAs, UX) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Software engineering, web development, computer engineering, or equivalent experience We value diversity at our company.
