As an experienced Network Design Engineer with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing wireless and wired network solutions for retail and office environments in Bangalore/Pune. You must be willing to work from the office during the shift timing from 6:00 PM IST to 3:00 AM IST. Your immediate notice period should be between 30-45 days only. Your key responsibilities will include designing enterprise-grade wireless network solutions, conducting wireless surveys using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet, ensuring compliance with customer technology standards, and providing recommendations for AP positioning, RF tuning, and channel planning. You will also be required to design highly available and scalable LAN/WLAN architectures integrating Meraki & Juniper Wireless, as well as provide expertise and support for Juniper & Meraki switch configurations, VLANs, routing, and QoS policies. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless issues across multiple sites and escalate when necessary. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in enterprise wireless & wired network design, deep expertise in Meraki Wireless or Juniper Wireless solutions, and advanced knowledge of Meraki or Juniper switches, VLANs, routing protocols, and QoS best practices. Proficiency in RF design principles, antenna selection, and wireless security mechanisms is essential. Hands-on experience with wireless security mechanisms like WPA2/3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and EAP-TLS will be beneficial. You should also possess a strong grasp of WLAN standards, RF planning, channel management, and experience in cloud-managed wireless infrastructures. The ability to troubleshoot RF issues and optimize wireless performance using tools like Ekahau Analyzer, Mist SLE, or Meraki Health is desired. Strong communication skills, project experience in office and industrial settings, as well as the ability to lead design workshops and customer discussions, will be advantageous. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Cisco wireless LAN solutions, managing Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and Lightweight Access Points, and monitoring and troubleshooting wireless performance and client issues using tools like DNAC, Cisco Prime, or Ekahau. You will also be involved in implementing and managing wireless security policies, configuring RADIUS/ISE for secure wireless authentication, and analyzing wireless coverage and capacity. As a Cisco Wireless Network Engineer, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in enterprise wireless networking, preferably with Cisco. You should have strong experience with Cisco WLCs, APs, DNA Centre, and ISE, as well as knowledge of wireless standards and proficiency with RF design tools. Additionally, you should possess hands-on experience with WLC High Availability, Flex Connect, Guest Portals, and QoS, and be familiar with Layer 2/3 switching/routing, VLANs, ACLs, and SNMP. Having CCNA/CCNP Wireless Certification and Cisco Certified Specialist Enterprise Wireless Implementation is required.
