Key Responsibilities

• General Cleaning
• Clean patient rooms, wards, treatment areas, and public spaces.
• Sanitize bathrooms, floors, windows, and all hospital surfaces.
• Replace linens and restock supplies in patient and staff areas.
• Infection Control
• Follow hospital protocols for infection prevention and control.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants as per hospital standards.
• Proper disposal of waste, including biohazard and medical waste, per regulatory guidelines.
• Specialized Cleaning
• Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge.
• Support in deep cleaning procedures in high-risk or isolation areas.
• Equipment Handling
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners).
• Ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals and cleaning tools.
• Compliance & Safety
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
• Report maintenance issues or potential hazards immediately.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Customer Service
• Interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior housekeeping experience, especially in healthcare settings, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of hospital sanitation standards and infection control practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and hospital protocols diligently.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks.
