Job Title: Software Developer Contractor – Full Stack Location: Remote Duration: 3–6 months Start Date: Immediate / June 2025 About VelociSure At VelociSure, we’re building AI-powered solutions to accelerate the creation, launch, and maintenance of P&C insurance products. Our tools support product managers, actuaries, portfolio managers, and compliance analysts by automating the most complex and time-consuming aspects of product development and competitive research. By eliminating the manual, repetitive work, we free insurance professionals to focus on what matters most: innovation, strategy, and profitable growth. About the Role We are looking for a motivated Full Stack Developer Intern to join our engineering team. As an intern, you will work on building responsive web applications and backend services using modern web technologies across the stack. Responsibilities: Build and maintain frontend interfaces using React , TypeScript , and Tailwind CSS Implement server-side rendering with frameworks like Remix and tools like Vite Develop backend services using Node.js (Express) and Python (FastAPI) Integrate and consume RESTful APIs and manage real-time interactions when needed Work with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM to manage and query data efficiently Collaborate with product designers, backend engineers, and AI/ML developers to deliver end-to-end features Debug performance issues across the stack and ensure scalability and maintainability Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in React with TypeScript Solid understanding of HTML , CSS , and responsive design Experience with Node.js (Express) and/or Python (FastAPI) Familiarity with PostgreSQL and basic database querying Understanding of API integrations (REST) Ability to work across both frontend and backend components Good to Have: Experience with Remix framework (with Vite) Knowledge of Prisma ORM , Zustand , or other state/data management tools Exposure to deployment platforms like Vercel , Render , or AWS Basic understanding of WebSockets , background tasks, or message queues What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience building full-stack production systems Exposure to the full application development lifecycle Mentorship from experienced engineers and product leads Opportunity to convert to a full-time, paid role Eligibility: Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science , Engineering , or a related field Able to commit at least 20 hours per week
