Validation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

- Designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures to validate the functionality and performance of smart meters as per IS and other Standards and customer specifications.
- Ensuring seamless integration of smart meters with various communication networks and systems, including Head End Systems (HES) and other smart grid components. - Analyzing meter data to identify anomalies, errors, and performance issues, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of validation procedures, test results, against customer specifications and standards. - Supporting to solve prblems relating to HES integration or other functions found in field during installation and use.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong understanding of smart grid technologies, metering systems, communication protocols (e.g., DLMS/COSEM, MODBUS), and wireless technologies (e.g., RF, GSM, NB-IoT).
- Hands on experience in testing using Meter test bench, Tamper test equipment, Gurux/Kalkitech, BCS and other euipment needed to handle the tasks as per JD.
