Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Treasury Operations Manager to manage our cheque-based payment processes, ensure timely execution of critical transactions, and maintain strong working relationships with banking partners. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in handling manual payment processes, coordinating with internal signatories, and liaising with banks for smooth and prioritized transaction handling. Key Responsibilities: Cheque Management & Processing: Prepare, track, and process cheques for vendor payments, payroll, and other disbursements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (signatories) to ensure timely cheque signing and documentation. Maintain physical and digital records of all cheque transactions with proper audit trails. Bank Liaison: Establish and maintain productive relationships with branch managers and key personnel at partner banks Act as the primary point of contact for the companys banking requirements, ensuring efficient and prioritized processing of key transactions. Resolve transaction-related queries and facilitate smoother fund transfers, cheque clearances, and issue escalations. Treasury Operations & Controls: Monitor daily cash flow and manage fund availability across accounts for cheque issuance. Ensure all payments are made in compliance with internal policies, authorization matrices, and audit requirements. Support month-end and year-end financial closing with necessary treasury reports and reconciliations. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all treasury transactions comply with regulatory and statutory requirements. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial instruments and documentation. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related field. 8+ years of experience in treasury operations or corporate finance, with hands-on experience in cheque-based payments. Strong understanding of banking operations and payment processing protocols. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities. Proficient in MS Excel and basic accounting/tally systems (ERP exposure is a plus). Prior experience working with multiple banks and managing physical instrument payments. Familiarity with manual and digital treasury processes in a transitioning environment.
