Trainee-Network Security Engineer

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices. Your role will involve implementing basic network topologies such as LANs and WANs, configuring network protocols like TCP/IP, IP addressing, and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP), and setting up network security features like firewalls and access control lists (ACLs). Additionally, you will monitor network performance, identify potential issues using tools like Cisco CLI and SNMP, and troubleshoot network connectivity problems to resolve network outages. To excel in this role, you must possess a CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge. A strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols, is essential. Proficiency in Cisco CLI and network management tools is also required. You should have the ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively, implement solutions, and demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are key attributes for success in this position. Preferred candidates will have 6 months to 1 year of experience in a network monitoring or network support role. Hands-on experience with network equipment, particularly Cisco and any firewall devices, is advantageous.
