Job Purpose:

To assist senior fitters or technicians in assembling, fitting, installing, and maintaining mechanical structures or equipment. The trainee will gain practical experience and develop skills to become an independent and skilled fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support & Assistance:
• Assist in assembling and fitting components and mechanical parts.
• Help with installation of machinery, equipment, or signage structures as instructed.
• Carry tools, materials, and assist with layout and measurements.
• Learning & Development:
• Observe and learn fitting and assembly techniques from experienced workers.
• Attend training sessions and safety briefings regularly.
• Gain knowledge about tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Safety & Housekeeping:
• Follow all safety regulations and wear protective gear as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area.
• Report any unsafe practices or hazards to supervisors.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Record tasks completed and materials used.
• Submit daily activity logs or job sheets to supervisors.
• Tool Handling & Maintenance:
• Learn proper handling and maintenance of tools and machines.
• Ensure tools are returned and stored correctly after use.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Fitting / Fabrication) or equivalent.
• Experience: 0–1 year (Fresher preferred).
• Skills:
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Team player with a positive attitude

Work Conditions:

• May involve working in workshops, on-site installations, or factory environments.
• Might require standing for long hours, working at heights, or lifting heavy parts.
• Overtime or shift work may be expected based on project demands.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Fixed shift
• Weekend availability
• Weekend only
