Job Description

The Officer is required to reside in the hospital premises where designated quarters are provided. Your primary responsibility will be to address any issues related to the smooth functioning of the hospital. You will supervise the entire hospital to ensure it is maintained in a neat and clean condition. Additionally, you will be in charge of overseeing the Group D employees" attendance, departmental postings, sanctioning of Casual Leave, and recommending various types of leaves. As the Officer, you will supervise the work of Nurses, Group D employees, Junior Doctors, and Laboratory Technicians. It is also your duty to oversee the operations of the Hospital Kitchen, ensuring the supply of hygienic and nutritious meals to the ward patients. You will be responsible for the safe handling of Hospital Biomedical Waste, including segregation, collection, treatment, storage, transportation, and incineration. Furthermore, you will manage the Central Medical Stores of the Hospital and supervise the Pharmacists in dispensing drugs and other necessary items to different departments and wards. You will prepare lists of expired items in the Central Medical Stores and recommend their disposal if the value does not exceed Rs. 5,000 per annum. In addition, you will issue attendance and discharge certificates to patients, oversee the Ambulance Van's operations, and regulate its movements. You will work under the supervisory care of the Medical Superintendent for patient care matters. Your responsibilities also include procuring Linen and Bedding for various departments and wards, providing uniforms to staff when necessary, issuing Medical Certificates, and signing reimbursement claims. Moreover, you will ensure that patients receive smooth treatment without any obstacles, whether as out-patients or in-patients. You will be available 24/7 and work diligently for the benefit of cancer patients. It is your duty to scrutinize and sign indents received from departments before issuing stocks from the stores, plan and stock drugs, instruments, and other hospital necessities well in advance, and prepare lists of expired drugs for disposal. Finally, you will attend to any other duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent or Director and work in different shifts as required. This is a full-time position located on-site at the hospital.,
