TEXTURING / LOOK DEV ARTIST

The Texture Artist plays a crucial role in collaborating with the production team to achieve the desired appearance of CG models, encompassing intricate creatures as well as hard surface models such as ships, real-world vehicles, and environments. You will be responsible for crafting textures, colors, and organic surface characteristics essential for the completion of CG creatures and hard-surface models utilized in production. Additionally, your role will involve actively engaging in reviews and contributing as a team member to identify diverse design solutions by offering feedback to fellow production members. Working closely with Art Directors, Modelers, and other departments is imperative to attain the desired appearance and ensure seamless texturing and look development progresses through the pipeline. Upholding or surpassing a consistent level of productivity, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work are key aspects of this role. It is essential to proactively escalate technical issues to more senior artists or leads, as well as support in project clean up and archiving on an ongoing basis. **Requirements:** - A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combined with substantial experience in texturing for VFX/Feature films and games. - Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and creating photorealistic work. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Capable of performing effectively under pressure, multitasking, prioritizing, and solving problems. - Willingness to learn and contribute to team success and project accomplishments. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Maya, Mari, XGen/Yeti, Zbrush, Photoshop, or Bodypaint is mandatory. - A portfolio showcasing professional and personal work with examples of procedural shading, texturing, and grooming in tools like Maya, Mari, Substance, Katana, XGen, or similar packages is a prerequisite. **Brownie Points:** - Modeling skills are an added advantage. - Strong organizational skills.
