Job Description

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Civil Engineering Experience: Knowledge of OES operation (Spectro) for chemical element analysis of metals Location: Turbhe, Navi Mumbai Number of Vacancies: 1 Key Responsibilities: Material Testing: Conduct physical and mechanical tests on metal samples, including tensile, hardness, impact, and fatigue tests. Perform chemical analysis of metals to determine composition and detect contaminants or impurities. Utilize testing equipment such as hardness testers, tensile testers, and microscopes. Data Analysis: Analyze test results and interpret data to assess material properties and performance. Prepare detailed reports summarizing test findings, including charts, graphs, and statistical analyses. Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement based on test results. Standards Compliance: Ensure that testing procedures and results comply with industry standards and specifications (e.g., ASTM, ISO). Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to metal testing and materials quality. Test Method Development: Develop and refine testing methods and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to validate new test methods and equipment. Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed. Maintain records of equipment calibration and maintenance activities. Quality Assurance: Ensure that testing processes adhere to quality control and assurance standards. Participate in internal and external audits related to testing practices and results. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing procedures and quality management.
