Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic designers, illustrators, and visual artists. Assign tasks and ensure on-time delivery of all graphic elements for book production. Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback. Design Oversight: Oversee the creation of book covers, interior layouts, infographics, and other visual elements. Collaborate with internal technology, operation excellence stake holders and fine tune the process. Ensure visual consistency and high design quality across all the artwork deliverables. Project Coordination: Manage workload and resource allocation within the design team. Work with project managers to align timelines and production milestones. Track work in progress load and plan the deliverables as per the schedule. Creative Strategy: Contribute to concept development for new titles and book series. Stay current with design trends in the publishing industry and bring fresh ideas to the team. Quality Control: Review and approve final artwork for accuracy, brand compliance, and print-readiness. Ensure files are prepared in appropriate formats for both print and digital publication. Requirements: Bachelors degree in printing technology, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. 8+ years of professional experience in book design or publishing graphics. 5+ years in a leadership or team management role. Strong portfolio demonstrating book production workflow. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Understanding of print production processes and color management.
