STB Test Engineer

You will be responsible for validating and testing Set Top Box (STB) software manually according to the checklist provided. With 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC) and Testing, you will review and comprehend software requirements to ensure they meet the intended purpose for the customer. Collaboration with the test lead to validate the solution or implementation, understanding standard test use cases and scenarios, and documenting observed defects during test execution with detailed fail scenarios and steps are crucial aspects of this role. Your duties will include verifying that the defects are appropriately fixed, publishing test results indicating pass or fail along with comprehensive test reports to the test lead, and conducting thorough software regression and performance testing within the provided timeline. Continuous communication with the test lead to provide updates on the test status, maintaining test environments and configurations across the lab, and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts will be part of your routine activities.
