Staff Analyst

The Staff Analyst position in the Materials Characterization Department at our company involves the operation and maintenance of various analytical instruments including Scanning Electron Microscope, Optical Microscope, XRD, TGA, DSC, and Dilatometer. As a Staff Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data generated by these instruments to meet customer needs, providing feedback for result accuracy improvement, and developing new procedures to enhance efficiency and quality of analysis. Your responsibilities will include hands-on operation of analytical instruments, scheduling experiments, performing regular calibration and maintenance, and collaborating with project owners to define experiment scopes and schedules. Additionally, you will be expected to grow expertise in metallography, imaging, and image analysis processing, as well as to communicate effectively with different departments to provide detailed reports and presentations. To excel in this role, you should have technical knowledge in Materials/electrochemistry or Fuel cell operation, along with 6-8 years of experience working in a laboratory setting. Proficiency in operating instruments like Scanning Electron Microscope, Optical microscope, and thermal analysis instruments is required, along with experience in sample preparation and developing etchants based on material types. Strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and adaptability to fast-paced environments are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate for this role will hold a Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. This role reports to the Materials Characterization Lab Manager and is based in Mumbai (Vikhroli).
