Role: Draftsman / Sr. Draftsman Civil Design Department: Design & Engineering Academic Qualification: I.T.I Draughtsman / Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical) Experience: 6 to 8 years Location: Navi Mumbai Reporting To: Manager Civil Design Soft Skills: Interpersonal Skills Work Ethics Integrity Goal Oriented Adaptability & flexibility Teamwork & Collaboration Strong written & verbal communication skills in English Multitasking to manage multiple projects simultaneously Job description: Responsible for preparation of preliminary and detailed engineering drawings for pre-bid and post bid ensuring best industry practises and compliance with industry standards, codes and local regulations. Software Skills: Required: MS Office and AutoCAD Optional: Civil 3D & Sketchup will be considered as an advantage Standards & Codes: Knowledge of all relevant Indian Standards / IRC / Codes for Civil design and drafting. Preparation of drawings and BoQ: Should possess strong understanding and hands-on-experience in preparation of drawings using AutoCAD software. Should be able to prepare technical drawings as per specification / approved designs. Should possess thorough knowledge of concepts of drafting viz; First angle projection, third angle projection, preparation of Isometric views, orthographic views, sectional views, exploded views, assembly drawings and fabrication drawings for manufacturing. Should be capable of extracting and preparing the B.O.Q from the design / drawings. Should have knowledge of tolerances used in manufacturing drawings in the solar industry. Should collaborate and interact closely with the design manager and should be conversant in preparation of drawings for MMS, pile foundations, combined footings, isolated footings, building foundations, super structure drawings, beams, columns, slabs, canopy drawings, drainage system, roads and fencing drawings etc. Database / Document Control: Should be conversant in proper document storage and control procedures as per best industry standards. Should be responsible for proper numbering of document, database storage (soft / hard) at designated locations, its accessibility for easy & timely retrieval. Site Visits: Will be required to make a couple of visits to project site to get a comprehensive understanding of the practical conditions / expedite the drawing preparation and approvals / resolve any technical issues. Collaboration and teamwork: Should collaborate and work closely with external and internal stake holders like Design Manager, Head of Engineering, Business development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety and Project teams to achieve the organisational goals.
