Job Introduction:
As a System Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for System level simulation of ASM, PSM, Inverter and electrical drives for determination of losses and most efficient operating points. You will also be responsible for development of various models related to E-drive and Gearbox.
Major Responsibilities:

Define and manage system requirements and specifications, with focus on driving performance & drivability, energy consumption and efficiency.

Perform sensitivity analysis for various sensors and actuators used in the eDrive and Gearbox
-
Support software department with system simulation results for the concept development/ performance improvement.

Develop system simulation model for eDrive and Gearbox using Simulink & Simscape
Knowledge and Education:
A bachelor s degree or master s degree in electrical/electronics, or a related technical field is mandatory.
Work Experience:
-
At least 4-5 years of experience in system simulation and system simulation model development for eDrive or similar engineering roles.

Experience in customer requirement elicitation and system requirement specification is required.
-
Experience in MATLAB scripting, Simulink and script optimization for system simulation.
-
Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or similar complex engineering fields is beneficial.
Skills and Competencies:
-
Detailed understanding of eDrive unit and electric vehicle architecture.
-
Detailed understanding on various losses of Inverter and eMotor for PMSM, ASM and WRSM.
-
Detailed understanding of Gearbox layout in common electric vehicles and losses associated with its components.
-
Knowledge on AC, DC, Mechanical Power conversion strategies in both Motoric and Generator mode.

General working knowledge on switching strategies of Inverter.
a. Two level and three level converter -> FOC (MTPA, FW), Active Gate Driving strategy.
b. Advanced Switching strategies -> Optimized Pulse Pattern and Max Efficiency strategy.

Strong skills in MATLAB Simulink and Simscape

Good MATLAB scripting and debugging experience.

Understanding of Interpolation concepts, Monte Carlo analysis and Pareto concepts.

Good understanding of ASPICE and ISO 26262 standard

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for coordinating across cross-functional teams and with customers.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking under pressure
-
Application life cycle management tool experience such as PTC and DOORS is preferred.

Experience with working on Motor CAD can be an added advantage.

Experience with test rig measurements and analysis can be an added advantage.
