As a Specialist in Family Medicine, you would be a medical doctor who specializes in providing comprehensive primary healthcare to individuals and families of all ages
Family medicine focuses on the overall health and well-being of patients, emphasizing preventive care, health promotion, and the management of acute and chronic medical conditions
Your responsibilities as a Specialist
Family Medicine may include:Primary Care: Providing primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors
This involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and chronic conditions
Preventive Care: Emphasizing preventive medicine by promoting healthy lifestyles, conducting regular health screenings, administering vaccinations, and providing counseling on disease prevention, nutrition, exercise, and other preventive measures
Health Promotion: Educating patients about health maintenance and disease prevention strategies, including smoking cessation, weight management, stress reduction, and substance abuse prevention
