About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Engineer
with a specialization in Accessibility (ADA/EU/Global WCGA)
testing. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with WCAG
guidelines for accessibility testing and should also possess knowledge on test adumation tools. The candidate must be Accessibility Certified
and should possess a strong aptitude for out of box thinking while testing an application. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications through effective testing practices and delivering Accessibility compliant, accessible software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform
Accessibility testing
to ensure that applications are accessible to individuals with disabilities and comply with WCAG guidelines. - Use
Accessibility testing tools
such as WAVE, AXE, or other accessibility tools to identify and resolve accessibility issues. - Compile detailed accessibility audit reports with potential ways to fix the defects.
- Collaborate with developers and Business analysts in explaining the audit results in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop and execute comprehensive
manual and automated test scripts
to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. - Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Utilize
automation testing tools
to create reusable and efficient test scripts and frameworks. - Analyze and interpret test results, providing detailed feedback to development teams on issues, errors, and improvements.
- Assist in
test planning
and test case development
, ensuring coverage of all functional, non-functional, and accessibility requirements. - Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement in testing practices and methodologies.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives as part of an Agile environment.
- Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and contribute to the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Stay updated on
best practices
in both automation testing
and Accessibility compliance
to apply new techniques and tools effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience
: 3 years of conducting web accessibility audits

Experience:
4-10 years of experience in manual and automation testing
. - Strong expertise in
test automation
using tools such as Selenium, QTP, JUnit, TestNG
, or similar. - Experience with
API testing
tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI
. - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in
Accessibility compliance testing
and understanding of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). - Experience using
Accessibility testing tools
like AXE, WAVE
, or JAWs
. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with
Agile/Scrum methodologies
and experience working in an Agile environment. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with
performance testing
tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner
, etc. - Experience in working with
Accessibility compliance audits
and reporting.
